Spring Festival February 2008
Multicultural Artists Partnership (MAP), is a 501c3 non-profit organization that organizes
art festivals and exhibitions several times a year, as an initiative for Artists.
The following events form the Spring Festival in February 2008:
(A) 2008 Spring MAP Exhibition
• Exhibition theme: Welcome The Spring
• Dates: February 3 to 17, 2008 (4 weekends during Asian Lunar New Year Celebration period).
• Location: The Chinese Hsiang Yun Temple, meditation room (6720 N. Capital of TX Hwy,
Austin TX, 78731).
• Installation date: Feb. 2, Sat. 2008, 10am.
• Capacity: 24-29 pieces art work no wider than 40 inch (framed size).
• Requirement:
1. All 2D art works must fit the theme. 3D art works are welcome.
2. No strong political statement, no nudity.
3. Your art should demonstrate the promotion of harmony and peace between people and culture.
Send 2-3 sample art digital photos, 400k or smaller, to MAP@multicultural-artists.org. If you do not
know how to reduce size, please send an email with a call back number so that we may help you.
• Entry fee:
a. MAP members entry Fee: $5.00
b. Non-members entry fee: $15.00
c. New members entry free. Please send the membership $36 by payment deadline.
Payment must be received by: January 30th, 2008.

(B) The Market Day
• Event: Celebration of the Asian Lunar New Year
• Date: Sunday, February 10, 2008, 10am-4pm
• Location: The Chinese Husing Yun Temple on the side walk, around the court yard at the main area where the performances will be taking place. (The display
area will be under cover. Please do not bring tent, panels or your own tables.)
• Capacity: Four spaces. Each space est. 4x8 ft with 2 x 6ft table provided.
• Requirement:
a. Prefer different artists and art from the exhibition.
b. Suitable art are jewelry, crafts, small 3D art, and holiday gifts.
c. No strong political statement, no nudity.
Please send your entry form and 2 samples of your art work’s digital photos to MAP@multicultural-artists.org. Please send the photos no larger than 400 kg each. If
you do not know how to reduce size, please send an email with a call back number so that we may help you.

o Non-members entry fee: $40
o New members entry free. Please send the membership $36 by payment deadline.

Please note: Even though the Temple will have volunteers directing traffic to the exhibition room, we cannot project how many people will actually visit the exhibition
