Call for Artists --
April 18 to May 3 - “Spring Glass and Pottery Festival”
Please join us for this charming art festival in the 360 Gallery of Austin located at 6720 N. Capital of Texas Highway,
Austin, TX, 78731. This is a MAP organized, juried 3D exhibition and Cecilia Ling, the President of MAP, is the curator. We
are seeking artists who create exquisite floor or tabletop glass, ceramic or clay art pieces. Each artist is invited to submit up to
two large pieces (12” maximum) or up to 6 small pieces. Pieces can be functional in nature (platters, coasters, vases),
however artistic sculpture is also encouraged.
• Dates: From Saturday, April 18, through Sunday, May 3, 2009
• Length of exhibit: Work will remain on display for the full 2 weeks and three weekends of the show or until sold.
• Number of artists: Due to space constraints, the event will be limited to 10-12 artists.
• Size requirements: Up to 2 large or 8 small pieces that can be shown on a flat tabletop space. Items should not be
more than 12" wide.
• Style and medium: Glass, clay or ceramic items of either a functional or artistic nature. Art pieces should be
reasonably priced for sale at the exhibition.
• Artwork Image: Please send in your artwork photos to: Cecilia@multicultural-artists.org.
• Photo size: each JPEG or PDF image of your artwork should be 480 x 480 bpi or smaller.
• Set up: Artists will be asked to set up their work one time on Fri., April 17th between 3:30pm-5:30pm
• Show tear-down: Sunday, May 3rd between 3 and 4:30pm
• Exhibit cost: MAP members - $20; non-members - $45. All profits from sales go to artists.
• Application & payment deadline: April 8, Sunday at midnight.
