Anuradha Naimpally
Indian Dance Performer
Anuradha Naimpally, a dancer of the Bharata Natyam style of
India, has danced worldwide for over 25 years. Her mesmerizing
performances have gained her many accolades in Canada, India, and
the US. She is both a popular performer and teacher, who seamlessly
synthesizes her Western upbringing with her Indian roots and training.
Based in Austin, TX, for the past 18 years, Anu teaches technique,
provides resources, and directs diverse cultural projects through her
organization, AustIndia Dance Project, aimed at cultural understanding
and peace through Indian dance.
Purna Bajekal and Swetha Kothamraju are Anu's students and will
perform with Anu in the Spring Festival 2007.
